DESICCANT

Preventing the effects of humidity

Moisture-absorbing masterbatches with a let-down ratio (LDR) of only 1%. Ensures process stability, increases output, and enables higher loading of moisture-absorbed raw materials and recycled resins.

Desiccant masterbatches ensure dryness where it is needed most. Developed from decades of experience, these masterbatches have been designed to adapt to specific thermal conditions and can be used in a wide range of applications.

With a let-down ratio (LDR) of just 1%, our desiccant masterbatches offer numerous other advantages.

During subsequent processing steps, desiccant masterbatches allow the use of highly sensitive materials that may release water molecules during processing. They can also increase the output capacity of subsequent processing steps, as the moisture is absorbed by the desiccant under elevated melting pressure.

Our desiccant masterbatches also enable the use of materials that have absorbed moisture prior to processing, such as unpacked raw materials or recycled materials that absorb moisture in their outer layer during application.

This allows a high percentage of recycled materials to be used together with these masterbatches, making such materials suitable for price-sensitive, low-end applications.
